For those working in a production environment in the food industry are required by law to have a salmonella certificate, a certificate of aptitude for food industry and a hygiene proficiency certificate. Please read the instructions below carefully to ensure that your start with us goes smoothly.
1. Salmonella certificate
For the sample, you will receive the equipment according to the local instructions below. Follow the instructions on the package and the answer to the sample will be sent directly to Atria. You can also obtain a Salmonella certificate at your own expense. In this case, submit the certificate to your supervisor on the first working day. Take the sample without delay, as without this certificate you will not be able to start working at Atria.
Nurmo: Pick up the equipment at the gate of the Nurmo plant (on call 24/7)
Kauhajoki: Pick up the equipment from the red mailbox on the wall of the main gate of Kauhajoki production plant
Forssa: Pick up the equipment from Forssa production plant
Sahalahti: You will receive the equipment during a job interview or later by post
Jyväskylä: You will receive the equipment during a job interview or you can pick them up later from your supervisor at the Jyväskylä production plant
Varkaus: Pick up the equipment from the control room opposite the main entrance to the factory area (on call 24/7)
Koskenkorva: Pick up the equipment from the Koskenkorva factory according to separate instructions
Kuopio (Best-In):Pick up the equipment according to the instructions you received separately from the factory supervisor
Kauhava (Domretor): Pick up the equipment from Domretor, instructions can be obtained from your future supervisor
2. Certificate of aptitude for food industry
People working in the food industry must not suffer from an infectious disease of general danger and the skin of the hands should be healthy. You can get a certificate e.g. from the public health nurse of an adult clinic or health centre. Make sure you have the right certificate and that it is made for the food work. Deliver the certificate to your supervisor on the first working day. Please note that without this certificate you cannot start working at Atria. (If you have worked with us before and have already brought us a certificate of aptitude for food industry, a new certificate is not required.)
3. Hygiene proficiency certificate (not applicable to Kuopio Best-In)
You must acquire a hygiene proficiency certificate at your own cost before the work starts. Deliver the certificate/card to your supervisor, who will photocopy it and return the original to you. (If you have worked with us before and have already brought your hygiene proficiency certificate for us to see, you do not need to bring the certificate again.)
4. Guidance on coronavirus practice in production
Healthy/asymptomatic to work: Work starts with health safety in mind when healthy/asymptomatic. In case of illness, please contact your supervisor in good time. Up-to-date instructions on coronavirus practices can be obtained during the induction of the supervisor upon arrival at work.

First working day
In Atria, the employer will receive all tax withholding information from the Tax Administration electronically. According to the tax authorities' instructions, tax cards or change tax cards do not need to be submitted or presented to the employer. Tax cards should not be submitted to payroll unless specifically requested by payroll.
On the first day, take your ID card with you (passport or identity card) to get your own access badge. If you are not an EU citizen take your work permit with you and show it to your supervisor.

Jyväskylä: Arrive at the main entrance A. Ring the doorbell of the office door (blue glass door at the Atria advertising light) and a door will be opened for you. Varkaus: Arrive at the control room opposite the main entrance of the factory area, where you can get more detailed signs.
Koskenkorva: The guide will meet you in the factory area and guide you to the right place
Kuopio (Best-In): You will receive more detailed instructions on arrival from the supervisor before the work starts
Kauhava (Domretor): Arrive at factory door no. 1 and call your supervisor, who will pick you up at the door. The parking and door no. 1 can be found on the side of the Läntinen Yhdystie.
